I thought I'd just about familiarized myself with all the types of pizza to be had in Florence, but Borgo Antico offered something I wasn't expecting...a crunchy thick-crust! And it was...weird, and I'm fairly certain it was also a mistake. The crust was stiff and difficult to eat. It wasn't bad, but I definitely wouldn't say it's my preference...and there were the infamous burnt spots. It could have been a lot worse, though.

Ecco una pizza che rientra in una nuova categoria: pizza biscottata. Mi è capitato a volte di trovare pizze con crosta un pò biscottata, ma qui siamo all'eccesso, è tutta così. Credo che se uno la tiene dalla crosta rimane rigida come un piatto. La crosta tra l'altro è pure alta, infatti l'aspetto è di quelle che piacciano a me; ma una crosta alta biscottata è dura da mangiare! Peccato perchè gli ingredienti non erano male, anche se la mozzarella è proprio un velo, si valuta difficilmente. Insomma, se a qualcuno piace questa nuova filosofia culinaria ben venga, io personalmente la boccio.
