Like Aqaba (a previously-reviewed pizzeria also located in Sesto), Ulivo Rosso should be frequented only in pleasant weather, weather suitable for dining out-of-doors. I give this advice with the expectation that the enjoyable surroundings will boost one's mood into granting a generous judgment of this rather mediocre pizza. My pizza made its exit from the kitchen with an orangey cheese/tomato combo sauce (that prefigures post-eaten pizza imagery), some bites of super soft and flavorful porcini, and a fresh and crunchy crust that lacked any notable taste. If that same pizza could have made its way onto the terrace and could have converted the rainy evening into a breezy summer one, I know at least I could have been distracted into giving Ulivo Rosso an extra point or two.

Attenzione attenzione, oggetto alieno si aggira su Sesto Fiorentino, esattamente all'Ulivo Rosso! Credevo di aver ordinato una pizza e invece mi si è presentato qualcosa mai assaggiato: la base mi ha ricordato una schiacciata, con la stessa consistenza e sapore. Sopra una specie di salsa, che nelle intenzioni avrebbe dovuto essere, credo, mozzarella e pomodoro, fusi in un ingrediente unico dai colori strani. Quindi se la considero come pizza il voto è basso, anche se non cattiva, ma vista come un'altra cosa non bene identificata potrebbe avere il suo perchè.
