It was like they knew they were playing for points! First, they brought us a half-loaf of spongy bread and some bite-size pieces of what looked like...well, pizza. Then came a little bowl of a word I had never heard before, but was basically smooth potato soup. I love appetizers, but not if they're to make up for some lack in my main entrée! After seeing the pizzas arriving at other tables, Fabio was afraid that their thinness meant he was going to be having a snack instead of a meal. I, on the other hand, was quite ready for a thin and crunchy pizza! The pizza was definitely thin, but it wasn't crunchy! In parts, it wasn't even fully-cooked. Bleh! That rubbery dough combined with some gummy cheese made finishing it an impossible feat. Thumbs up: olives and outdoor/piazza seating!

Ma sarà vera mozzarella? Quando, mangiando la mia solita Margherita, inizio a pormi questa domanda non è proprio indice che io abbia davanti una buona pizza. Quando poi, vedendola arrivare, mi accorgo che è di quelle basse inizio ad avere più di un sospetto. Ma il tocco di classe della pizza era che la pasta era al tempo stesso poco cotta sotto e un pò bruciata la crosta sopra; questo terzo indizio è stata la prova che questa pizza non merita la sufficenza e infatti la cosa più strana è che, per essendo una di quelle pizze basse, ho fatto fatica a finirla: e avevo molta fame dopo più di mezz'ora di attesa.
