Lanterna Blu: Another contender for the most disgusting pizza in Florence! Lanterna Blu might deserve the higher vote, though, since the atmosphere is about as appetizing as the pizza; the place smells so gross, I don’t know how we were able to eat. Surprisingly, you’re given the option of a thin or thick crust. Fabio took the thick, and I was hoping for a crunchy thin. Nope. The crust was chewy and spongy. The tomato sauce was not fresh. There was no basil. The mozzarella – if it was mozzarella – was so soupy it was more like cheese sauce. The salt was an afterthought on my pizza, as I could still see the grains sitting on the crust. And, it was horribly over-salted. Ekk! My face still grimaces thinking about it.

Sicuramente non ci si può lamentare di dover aspettare, dato che il locale era vuoto; è vero che era martedi, però brutto segno...è vero anche che si può scegliere la pizza alta o bassa senza differenza di prezzo, ma come questo, come abbiamo visto nelle altre pizzerie, non è un buon segno. Io l'ho presa a pasta alta, e forse era un pò troppo alta, con la crosta sembrava di mangiare un pezzo di schiacciata (buona però!). Mozzarella e pomodoro al limite della qualità. Il tutto con un eccesso di sale. Mah.

Nonostante i vostri commenti mi avessero decisamente scoraggiato, mi sono ritrovato ad andarci ieri perche' i miei amici avevano fissato li: consordo sul locale e sull'odore (terribile, forse perche' tutto a vista e tutte le finestre chiuse), la pizza(pasta bassa con pomodoro fresco) era da 6 ma era quasi fredda. La nota positiva (a parte il piacere di stare con i miei amici) e' nel conto, veramente basso per essere a Firenze!
Ciao, ci sono passato nei giorni scorsi per caso ed ho trovato le pizze (ed il conto) niente male. Anzi veramente buone.
