Hard to believe, but, not far from the train station, past the cheap luggage and trashy clothes stores, just across the street from the SEXY shop, in the heart of the sketchy-even-before-dark Piazza Indipendenza, you can eat a decent pizza. It won't be a pretty pizza. There's no basil garnish. There are no thick globs of half-melted mozzarella. But you can sit outside in the garden and be served a non-burnt, medium-thick crust pizza atop which peanut-sized shreds of cheese merge with an indistinct tomato sauce to create a flavor that's not too shabby.

Non si può che apprezzare, più che la pizza, il pizzaiolo: infatti, nonostante gli ingredienti non siano di qualità e la pizza abbia l'atmosfera tipica delle pizzerie del centro, il risultato è passabile. La crosta è bassa, ma sul croccante; il pomodoro e la mozzarella sono in una quantità tale, e insaporiti in un modo, che la loro presenza non emerge più di tanto. Di conseguenza uno si mangia la sua pizza tranquillamente e il pensiero vola via altrove.
