I ate half of my Pepe's pizza, and then I just had to stop. The crust was thin, but not crunchy. It wasn't soggy either; it was chewy, spongy even. The tomato sauce was just there without a good or a bad flavor and the cheese was nauseating after the pizza started to cool. The porcini were cut in thin slices and they were soft and good. The pizza at Pepe's is expensive and the quality isn't very high.

Prezzi alti, qualità bassa: o il gestore è un genio della finanza o la pizza non è il piatto forte della casa. In genere le pizze insufficienti sono di 2 tipi: quelle che non sanno di niente e quelle che hanno un cattivo sapore. Da Pepe siamo decisamente nel secondo caso: la crosta è molliccia, il pomodoro ce ne è poco e non sa di niente, ma il vero problema è la pseudo mozzarella, che già dal colore viene il dubbio su come chiamarla. Il sapore complessivo della pizza fa si che non si ha una gran voglia di tornare, ma di uscire di fretta per dimenticare.
