A little too much dough for the dough if you ask me! Pantarei's pizzas are rather expensive (7.50 euro for the Margherita), but what I'm really complaining about is the amount of dough in the pizza! The pizzas are smaller than average and all of their weight is in the crust, one of the densest, most-filling and tasteless I've had in Florence. The first couple of bites were satisfying, but by midway I was tired of the slightly-burnt crust, the excess tomato sauce, and the gumminess of the mozzarella.

La Margherita è cara, 7.50 euro, ma dato che la pizzeria è fuori dal centro l'ho preso come un sicuro segnale che la pizza dovesse essere per forza buona. E infatti, quando è arrivata sul mio tavolo, aveva l'aspetto giusto, stile napoli: sarà che è così difficile trovare sapori di qualità che anche il primo boccone mi ha entusiasmato. Poi però, dopo l'euforia iniziale, sono venute fuori alcune pecche sulla qualità del pomodoro e della mozzarella, forse perchè non era più calda; ma sono veramente sottigliezze, perchè è veramente una pizza buona.
